Everyone has opinions, thoughts and emotions. I have my own strange quirks that will be brought out within my posts. for example I love rocks, fossils and minerals, my passion for Geology has been with me since a child and I now collect these as a hobby. I feel my passion for learning and knowing means that I watch with intent documentaries on various topics and visit (completely open minded) various different places with interest, wanting to know more information. A lot of people have told me that I know a lot, but recently I have found a quote from Steven Fry who explains exactly how I feel.

“People sometimes accuse me of knowing a lot. ‘Stephen,’ they say, accusingly, ‘you know a lot’. This is a bit like telling a person who has a few grains of sand clinging to him that he owns much sand. When you consider the vast amount of sand there is in the world such a person is, to all intents and purposes, sandless. We are all sandless. We are all ignorant. there are beaches and deserts and dunes of knowledge whose existence we have never even guessed at, let alone visited.”

Hopefully my blog posts will be of interest to some, they will be on places I have visited, things I have watched and things that I have a feeling I should comment on. Hope everyone takes away something from my writings. I am a big photography fan – mainly amateur, the photos you see on my blog will be taken by myself.
